THIS WEEK, the Girls Academy Northeast brackets are heating up, with Rhode Island Surf, STA, and NEFC all making noise at the top. On the boys’ side, MLS Next delivered fireworks across U13–U15 — from CSA Bergen’s dominant start to MLS academies like NYCFC and Red Bulls piling up goals. Let’s dive into the biggest results, standout clubs, and who’s setting the pace early.

Girls Academy – Northeast Snapshots

U13 Bracket A

The U13s are flying out the gates, and Rhode Island Surf (5–0–0) is setting the standard with a flawless record and a +17 goal differential. Surf’s 8–0 win over DUSC was a statement performance that put the rest of the bracket on notice. Right behind them, NEFC Red (4–1–0), pictured below, and Seacoast United (3–0–2) are keeping the title race hot, with Seacoast showing defensive steel in a 4–0 shutout vs. SDA.

Mid-table is packed with talent — STA, RNY FC Youth, and New York SC all earning results that could tilt the race. New York SC in particular flexed with a dominant 8–0 over Bergen.

Final Whistle: Rhode Island Surf look unstoppable, but with NEFC and Seacoast lurking, the fight at the top is far from settled.

U14 Bracket A

The U14 race is even tighter, with STA (4–0–1) narrowly holding the edge on points-per-game. But three teams — NEFC Red, RNY FC Youth, and Rhode Island Surf — are all tied at 12 points, making this bracket a four-horse sprint.

NEFC Red’s attack is on fire, highlighted by a 7–0 win over DUSC, while RNY FC Youth showed their depth with a commanding 6–0 over SDA. RI Surf’s 4–0 bounce-back win over SDA kept them right in the mix. Meanwhile, Seacoast United (3–1–1) and Long Island SC (2–1–1) are proving tough outs, with Long Island conceding just once through four games.

Final Whistle: With four legit contenders and no unbeaten runs left, this bracket is wide open — and every point from here on out is massive.
